Access by Design, Inc. is an accessibility consulting firm providing plan reviews, inspections, assessments and other consulting services for all project types in Texas and across the nation. We are Registered Accessibility Specialists licensed by the State of Texas to perform state-required plan reviews and inspections to ensure compliance with the Texas Accessibility Standards. We also have an extensive knowledge of and expertise in the Americans with Disabilities Act, ADA Standards, Fair Housing Act, Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards, ICC/ANSI A117.1, International Building Code and other local, state and federal accessibility codes and standards.
In addition to providing plan reviews and inspections, Access by Design performs evaluations and assessments of existing properties. These evaluations range from simple inspections to comprehensive building assessments and assistance with short- and long-term plans of action. Each of these projects is unique, and our services are customized to suit the needs of each client and project.
Access by Design offers continuing education to architects, designers, engineers, contractors and other building professionals on a range of accessibility topics, including the 2010 ADA Standards and 2012 Texas Accessibility Standards. We will customize the subject matter for your group, and can offer one-hour lunchtime seminars as well as longer, more in-depth sessions upon request.
Access by Design is a Texas Corporation with offices in Dallas, Texas. We also hold a Nevada Business License, and we are HUB and WBE certified. Our accessibility specialists are members of the Accessibility Professionals Association (APA).
